How do you delete (not change, I know how to do that) a way point image in Home port? When I transfer way point images from home port to my 4008 they are a different image. I checked available way point images in my 4008 and used the ones that are in the 4008 software.

Thanks

Steve

If you have the newest version, just double click on the waypoint in the list and a box will come up where you can select from a list of available images.

I've got a question about the new version. When I open HomePort my default location is just off the beach in Abaco. How do I change the default location for when the program opens?

I'm not 100% sure I understand what your asking but I'm going to take a stab at it. I think you are asking is, why after you import the Homeport data into you 4008, you end up with the original WP icon that was on the 4008, before the import?? If that is the case, then you are probably MERGING the data when you do the transfer, instead of REPLACING it.

When you MERGE the data, the old icons stay present. If you instead do a REPALCE, only the new data from Homeport will be left in the plotter.

But be carefull, the replace also deletes ALL waypoints, tracks and routes stored in the plotter. So make sure you backup anything on there you want to keep PRIOR to doing the replace.

Does that answer??

It opens up in the last position you left it when you close it. So position yourself somewhere else, then close the program. Next time you open it, it will be at the new spot. ;)

Wow, if that's what you thought he meant, I was way off in what I thought he meant.

Not mine. I've closed the program numerous times and it still opens up to Abaco.

Could be, I just tried closing through different ways with different locations with some in the US. Still opens just off of Little Abaco. Do you think the "somebody" might be a long dead pirate that is trying to show me where his buried treasure lies?

Also, How do you get the tide arrows to show on the screen? I can't find it.

Tide arrows only appear at specific zoom settings. Put a tide station in view, and then zoom in/out until the arrow appears.

Drove me crazy till I figured it out.

If the waypoint isn't used in any route, then highlight it in the left hand view window and right click, then delete.

If it is used in routes you can't delete it until you have removed it from those routes (or deleted all the routes themselves).

HP won't let you delete an active WP.
