I would like to purchase and install a T-top on my Sea Hunt Triton 172. The bimini gets in my way. Any suggestions on type, used vs new, pros or cons?

Thanks in Advance

Personally, I like the stryker tops. If you can afford it, go custom.. Otherwise, if you go aftermarket like stryker please through bolt it to the deck..
Other options are fishmaster..

Good luck!

I've done it on several boats. Custoum usalley runs around $2,500.00, and looks the best, Stryker has nice folding T-Top outta the box for less

Once you remove the Binimi, you'll have to figure out what to do with all the holes from it

Other things to consider are, moving your anchor light on top of the T-TOP, flood lights, eletronics box's if you want one, etc

There's allot of moving parts, but if thought through, and the right workmanship, it can look factory

Fishmaster only on experience. Had one and was well pleased and customer service was great. Would go that route again for sure.

Purchased a Stryker (non-folding model 300) and installed last year. Has been great. I get frequent compliments over it.

The tubing is 2", which makes it a bit more substantial than the Fishmaster. When it comes to mounting it to the deck, use these: http://www.fastenmsc.com/p-99394-toggle-bolt-316-toggler-10-mpbas10.aspx
