Anyone have any experience with these reels? What is a good general rod match-up? Looks like I just bought a new 12VS but not sure if I'll keep it. Thanks

Three models - 12V (single speed), 12VS (two Speed) & 12VSX (two speed, high drag).
The 12VS is principally a sailfish type reel, filled with 20 or 30 lb line matched to a 20-40 all roller type trolling reel or a 6' 20-40 HD picth bait rod.
The 12VSX's & 16VSX's are used in the NE as tuna chunking rods with 80 lb braid under 60 lb mono leaders.
