Hi guys,

New to this so go easy on me. I have just purchased a second-hand garmin gpsmap 4008 and I want to buy a sounder and transducer. I was going to get a gsd22 but reading all the feedback here has me thinking: "are they really that bad?" My boat is a 22ft Colvic Seaworker and I will be fishing in 15ft-500ft of water normally. Is it really worth getting the gsd24 and what transducer should I go for?

Any advice greatly appreciated, cheers.

(Sorry, couldn't help myself :) )

For the minimal upcharge for the gsd24 I think its a no brainer. It is a much better FF.
