A few years back was at a flea market, and was able to buy a bunch of the original Alou Eels, rigged with hooks in the 6 inch blood color version. They were stored in the garage, pretty much forgotten, until i decided this season to make a couple of dredges to troll for Stripers in the NE. I have used the same type of Alou a few years back in a different color (silver spec) on a single line trolling with good results for Stripers and blues. My question is on the dredges, you guys with experience,---do you have better results with the stinger bait being different than the rest? I have read where the stinger should be different, but have limited experience with dredge trolling. Thanks for any return input.------I guess i could try both ways and see what works better, but there is a lot of experience out there on THT that are willing to share the knowledge.

I own M&M Lures I sell the umbrella rigs with the same color shad. i fish them the same color until i lose a tail and have run out of spares. i have never noticed a difference but then again i am only using shad i have never put a different style lure on as the trailer.

Thanks, I have used the shad rigs before and they had a slightly bigger shad for the trailer . I had good luck with those but made up these eel rigs with the Alou eels. A few more weeks, and we will see how they work out.
