So I have seen some pictures on the Forum of people who have updated the look of there boat by either removing or changing the color of the strips going down the side of the boat. I dont mind the color of mine too much but as I have seen one person explain it my red or BAHAMA coloring is a bit outdated I would like to remove the red and maybe replace it with grey/silver. any suggestions on procedures would be appreciated I am fairly handy I am re-doing all my interior cabinet fronts, the bathroom door, taking out the carpet throughout the hole boat and replacing it with 3/4" hardwood. I dont plan on spending much time on the water this year maybe a 2 week trip this year thats about it. The boat is a 1996 31PC Formula thanks for the help

Seems like the consensus is that using a hair dryer to heat up the striping while peeling off slowly works very well. (assuming it's stick on vinyl - not painted on:thumbsup:).

I believe the stripping is Imron which I hear is very tough material I dont know if it is above or below the clear coat though

If it's a good vinyl material a heat gun used carefully will take them off easily. If they are original to the boat the gel coat underneath will be a different color. If you aren't covering the old area it will need wet sanding and buffing to blend in the color and sheen of the gel coat.

Pressure washer to remove the plastic then goof off to remove the glue residue.
