I have a 13' whaler that presently has 5.30x12(B) tires on it right now.
The tires are original to the boat/trailer and my plan is to replace them soon.
I was thinking about making the jump to radials.
Will ST145/12 tires be the best replacement, and will they mount right to my existing rims?
A lot of what I'm reading says that when this jump is made, many opt for 13" if there is room.

Differance between bias for trailer tires versus radial is the sidewall strength. Bias is made to withstand more countact if you should scrub some curbs.Radial ride softer because of soft side walls and more flexing

How often and how many miles to you think you put on the trailer in a year? With bias and radial tires the main difference is going to be the materials used in construction. If you use the trailer often and put a lot of miles on it the radial tire should last longer and give you a little better fuel economy towing. The bias is less expensive to replace and if the trailer is not used often should last(time) as long as the radial. If you are going to go to the radial tire just make sure your wheel is rated at the same weight capacity and PSI rating.
