I don't know if it is the case, but it seems like there are fewer boat thefts lately here in Miami. Maybe because the cops have been catching a few of the bad guys?
Here is a story the local CBS station. This 22y.o. punk who lives in Miami and drives an Escalade was just caught after stealing a 30' Concept last August from Calusa Campground in Key Largo.
It seems he tried to sell the boat and motors for 20k but the potential buyer did the right thing:) and called the factory to tell them he thought this guy was trying to unload a stolen boat and to call the original owner. They did and the owner got the address and called the cops. They tracked the bad guy (Yadiel Valera) down and found the boat. Unkown what condition though.
I hope they find a lot of stuff to pin on him and lock him up for a long time.
