Just got back from a great long weekend in Destin. Had a great time but did not connect on a cobia. The only fish we spotted were singles and were very spooky in 6' to 10' of water. One day was very cloudy and rainy and had a hard time spotting them until we were almost on them and spooked them. We did get off a few well placed casts with jigs/gulp eels but no interest at all. I am thinking live bait and longer casts next time......appreciate any pointers for next time. Can't wait to go back. Thx...FB

Best tip...bring a speargun. I jumped in at a wreck today just out the pass and immediately shot a 40# cobe. Saw 7 more. 2 were very small, 3 were huge. Other than that, I would recommend live bait. There were 5 other boats anchored on this wreck not catching anything.. I pulled two eels and two small pinfish looking things from its belly. Good Luck next time.
