Northeast - Bluefish Reported off Cape Cod & Vineyard

The Goose Hummock Shop in Orleans, Massachusetts, is reporting that squid have arrived in Nantucket Sound.

Goose also reports that bluefish are just south of Martha’s Vineyard, where they are rumored to be feasting on a giant school of pogies making their way up from Rhode Island.

I'm just a scosh suspicious that original report may have been 1st conjured up on 4/1 in spite of the update date. .

Oceantemp showed Nantucket Sound 44-45*F and just S of MV in the 44*'s as well for 4/5/12.

Buoy 44020 won't open right now but has been showing 44- almost 47* recently before the chill. Who knows, it's been a strange winter....

I have heard of 1 unconfirmed report of a 25" schoolie released here , & assumed likely a hungry holdover
