Hi Andy

I recently purchased some fuel filters from you for my 2001 150 HPDIs. I used your database for the filters needed and replacement went off without a hitch ..... ALMOST !

My VST filters and medium pressure in line filters went in without a problem , however I noticed the "cannister" filters located on the side of the engine in the clear bowls looked different from the ones I purchased.

While attempting to change them , I mangled the bowls pretty good , and on short notice , ran to one of my local dealers, and found the bowls I have on my engines arent the ones Yamaha calls for.

After purchasing my boat some 6 years ago , I originally had all the filters changed , and going back through my receipts found that I have had part number 6P3-24560-10 fuel filter assemblys intalled.

They seem as though they are from larger HP HPDIs , or perhaps other model engines. Any reason you know of for a dealer to do this ?
Also how would you reccomend going forward ? Should I just get new bowls for this assembly or go to the ones Yamaha calls for?
