we just re-did the kithcen and spent a boat load of $$ on a Thermador fridge similar in layout to what you have there.

I think it has very little space and was happy with the old POS.

At least we have the old one as a second in the garage.

Now I need to go to garage for a beer, ice cream and anything else that won't fit into the 6K fridge.

Am I missing something?

the doors dont alaign properly after a while, making them pain to close (if thats the kind that you have to close left 1st then the right, kinda has a locking pin /track on the right door).. if you have kids, forget it.

I spent 3500 on the top notch LG one three months ago. It is (was?) the largest capacity french door counter depth fridge that had a front ice dispenser. Love it

Not sure what you're asking, but I have an LG, and other than a tempermental light, it works great. I like the design, it has lots of adjustable shelves and drawers, and you can easily put a pizza box in it (cant do that with a side by side). The freezer has a drawer inside, and above the main drawer. It holds a lot
Mine has the icemaker in the freezer, and I don't have water/ice through the door (it just took up too much refrigerator space for me).
I also have a refrigerator in my laundry room that is used almost exclusively for drinks, and the freezer for fish. :)
IMO, you won't be unhappy with one.

Sub Zero does, and I think Kitchen Aid does too.

That sub zero is nice - but would like to keep it under 4k .... :)

I have an LG French door frige that just about 1 yr old now. The only complaint I have with it is that if you leave the doors open for maybe 30 sec. it starts playing music as a reminder to close it.

If you do close it and leave a door ajar the unit will shut down completely after awhile and you have to unplug it, and replug it to reset the unit. Just a minor pain in the ass. Once I came home saw the door open slightly and closed it, I assumed it would be fine but the next morning everything was warm in the unit. I was pissed, then I read the owner’s manual and found out about the reset thingy.

You can get a Sub Zero all ref for @ 8k. Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid and Fridgadair also make all refs that are smaller but alot cheaper.

Last time I was in FL Builders on Atlantic a couple weeks ago they had some in thier scratch and dent in back room. There is a place in Pompano by airfield that had a couple in thier s&d too. I can find name tomorrow if you want.

Have had an LG side by side about 2 years now. Lot's of room and love it! My only complaint is that the ice maker is in the door and very small.... When we have people over, we are always having to buy ice.

Samsung is probably the best on the market right now unless you go with the Sub Zero crowd.

I have to tell you all that I went with the whole we gotta go top shelf with the kitchen remodel.

It aint all that.

The bosch D/W is quiet but not as functional as the 15 y/o one we got rid of. I told you about the fridge.

The bosch gas range is nice, but for the price tag, other than the label on it, not sure what I paid for.

We did spend alot on the range hood outside exhaust and cabinets and they were worth it.
I guess my rant is that name isn't everything.

I can see service calls in the future on my 6K fridge. The other one was old when we bought the house 9 years ago and still works fine.

Oh well, sorry for the venting, running with the Joneses will cost you.

All of our 3 year old Samsung appliances have had issues (stove, microwave and fridge).

The Samsung french door fridge has the built in water/ice dispenser. It has been nothing but trouble. I can't even slide the ice maker/tray out because it is iced over (again). This is will be the fourth time it has been worked on. Do an internet search before you buy (I wish I had).

Frigidaire makes a full size fridge only and ful size companion freezer. They're cheaper than MSRP at Brandsmart ~$1000 each.

I redid my kitchen a few years ago. I liked the "counter depth" look, but not the functionality. The picture below is a full sized fridge/freezer. What I did was recess the fridge into the wall so it nearly gives the appearance of a counter depth with the functionality of a full size. Yes it took some work, but I have a freezer/fridge that I can actually use.

We did the same - its Ok but jeeze you pay for teh counterdepth feature and get a smaller fridge. Why the heck do they make them so deep wide and high - like evryone has to do kitchen work to get any new fridge...:(

As I recall the GE profile is made by LG - all the specs and looks are totally identical

I like the freezer bottom as you use the fridge more and its at user level. The double door feature is looks only and may take up less opening space but has lots of gasket and more surce for leaks.

And to answer the above they DO make fridge only models.

Name of store in pompano is Vida Appliance. Off Dixie and Sample.

Bosch dw has to be used on high temp wash with rinse agent to work kind of properly. Also will not work if you are cleaning dishes before you load it.
