i just traded my jet ski for this 1986 invader, ive had skis all my life but im new to boating, i would like to install a fishfinder, i was hoping to get a little feedback from someone on which fishfinder would be ideal for this boat, from what i understand some finders come with different types of ways to mount the transducer, any ideas for me? thanks alot

Delta..so you are in Northern Ca.
Then stripers, Kokes, Kings and trout!

Below is Landlocked King from Don Pedro.
That lake is a great fishery.

That will work...all you need is basic depth for fishing there.
For Kokanee, all you need to do is look for all the other boats..thats where the the fish will be...lol

You will need to put a Happy Troller plate on your outdrive so you can do some trolling.

your three choices are transom mount (easiest), thru-hull, and shoot-through-hull. I would bet that 99% of boats in your class that have a sonar have a transom mount ducer.

You can see the very edge of my school in the background. Can't even count how many nights we spent drinking beer at that lookout next to the Carquinez Bridge.
