Not much of a Bud fan but tried a couple of the Platinums over the weekend and thought they were good. I would recommend.

More for me.

Back in my college days a $3.00 6 pack was pricy. Even today with plenty of disposable income I'd rather pay an average of a $1.00 per drink and $2.00+ per drink since it is all going down the same plumbing pipe.

Give me a Natty Ice (or less) as long as it is cold.

They are good but I wouldn't recommend trying to get drunk off them, drank a 12 pack the other night and woke up with the worst damn hangover I have ever had, head hurt so bad I couldn't open my eyes

Mac, no 12 ounce beer has 300 calories!

Heck, I'm 45 and I have Type 2 diabetes, but I'll still drink a Sam Adams Summer with 162 calories and 14g of carbs in a 12 ounce serving.

The aftertaste was like Chardonnay to me. Has about the same calories as Bud heavy. Agree it gives a bad hangover too.

Dogfish Head 90min IPA = 294 calories for a 12oz'er. 120min IPA is 450.

If that is their goal, they should start by brewing a premium beer.

When comparing the different "light" beers you have to take in account alcohol content and calories. For instance, these new 64 calorie beers and Bud Select 55 may be down there, but their alcohol content is also half of a regular light beer. So, in essence it takes two of them to equal one light beer in terms of alcohol but you've downed more calories and carbs.

I did a calculation with a few different types a year or so ago and I found the best bang for your buck was the original Bud Select in the black can.

I say all that but my all time favorite light beer is Yuengling

Stopped at the local stop-N-shop on my way home and grabbed a 6 pack to try out. I am drinking one now. I decided to try one while I was stone cold sober because you know after a few drinks anything tastes good.

I gotta say as far as taste goes I really like it, definitely a more pleasant taste than Miller Lite. I'll run through the 6 pack this afternoon and see how it hits me, if it hits me. I know a 6 pack of Miller Lite will barely affect me.

Really don't like any bud beer. I like labatt blue, and yuengling, but we don't have that in michigan. Heard good things about BP, but just can't bring myself to try it after knowing what their other beer tastes like.

I thought bud light platinum tasted like bud light. It appears all they did was take bud light and add more adjunct to kick the alc. content up a bit, which also kicked up the calories. Oh, and they coordinated this with a huge marketing campaign. So, they now have a beer that tastes empty like a light beer but has the calories of a regular beer. They would be better served trying to create a beer with body and flavor that also has less calories.

Platinum has only 137 calories, 4.4 grams carbs. The only difference is the amount of corn used in the process.

That is what I just said. The corn is called an adjunct. It is a cheap way to kick up the alc. content. Also a good way to increase hangovers. Although I thought only miller used corn as an adjunct and bud used rice. Anyhow, bumping up the alc. content cheaply is not rocket science but their marketing campaign might deserve some kudos. Might as well take a bud light and drop a shot of vodka in it.

I bought a case when it first came out. As far as 6% ABV beers go, I can't complain. Better than the Keystone and Natty ice that are so prevelant around this college campus. BLP will probably will be my next alcohol purchase in a few weeks. Hangover potential is there with it but what beer doesn't do that? Chug a lot of water after a night of heavy drinking and you'll feel great. For now, I'm more than content with enjoying the Stella and Sam Adams Alpine Spring in my fridge.

I feel fine but then again I only drank a 6 pack over the course of 3 hours then had a full rack of baby back ribs and a manly helping of mashed potatoes. Any buzz that I had from that 6 pack was long gone half way through that meal.

The next time I am drinking (to get drunk) I will slam a good amount of them and see how I feel the next morning.
