Dockside Chat - 10th anniverary vacation ideas- tropical.

My wife and I at the first of next year have a 10th anniversary coming up that I wan to start thinking about.

Looking for a pretty exclusive resort type place, adult only, spa treatments are a must...even a private villa overlooking the beach or our own dipping pool would be nice ;cool;

We have three beautiful children, ages 5, 21 months and 3 months, but she has been pregnant 6 times in 5 years...needless to say we may have a little catching up to do :grin:

I found this place www.littlepalmisland.com (http://www.thehulltruth.com/www.littlepalmisland.com) but looking for other options to compare it to. Our anniversary is in Feb so Feb/March its gonna have to be pretty tropical to be warm that time of year.

Any suggestions?

Can you give me any first hand feedback? This place looks SICK!!!!!!!!!!!

Jay- we have stayed at several luxury places w/private villas- Jalousie Plantation in St. Lucia, Punta Islita in Costa Rica and Kona Village on the Big Island- now closed due to hurricane damage. Jalousie and Punta Islita both had private dip pools, exemplary service and knockout views. Punta Islita is more isolated and I would say I enjoyed it more as we encountered Howler monkeys, sloths and there is good fishing nearby. The spa at Jalousie was a bit more luxurious, but this was in 2005-6. Little Palm is also outstanding, I haven't stayed there since I live here, but it gets great reviews and is very exclusive.

I am sitting right now in St. Barth's. If you are looking for the top of the line, no expense spared, this is the place for you. Look into one of the small boutique hotels on the Island. the Eden Rock is outstanding but there are many others. You will not regret coming to this Island. Just make sure you bring a lot of money.
