Marine Electronics Forum - Speaker Mount Locations/Options 21 Cape Horn

I've decided to put a stereo on the Cape Horn.

I am installing the following:

5 Channel JL Amp
4 JL M650's
Clarion CMS1

The amp and unit are easy, the speakers I am pretty limited on where these can acutally mount.

Right now I am thinking two in the sides of the console firing out.

And then I am thinking two on either side of the leaning post on the upper portion so that the magnets are inside the hatch at the top.

Thoughts?

Who else has this boat with four speakers?

I have 4 in a Bluewater 2150 No amp all facing in. It sounds good. I need to add amp and sub at some point. I put circles where my speakers are.

I have a 21 horn with the same clarion unit. My speakers are mounted on the side of my console and will be mounting 2 more in the electronics box.

Well I was going to post pix but can't figure it out.

If I understand you correctly, all four speakers will be firing out the port and starboard sides of the boat over the water. You might want to look at putting two of them low on the console and two up front facing back at you. Just a wild guess on my part though.
