Ok, don't kill me for asking and not posting a picture I will post one if I have to but I'm on my phone and I don't have the picture on the computer yet.
My dad just bought an older 25' whitewater. There is a circle shaped "L" bracket above the rudder on the bottom of the transom. It is plastic and if it's necessary to have it is necessary to replace it. We think it might have something to do with the water above the rudder. Vague enough??? Thanks in advance, I'm sure theres a whitewater nut on here that knows what I'm talking about.

Knueder valve. Try jump starting it with some kryptonite. If all else fails, have a few beers. Seriously though, if you could post a pic you will get some help. I was under the impression that whitewaters usually had outboards. Are you refering to the propeller when you say rudder? If so, my guess would be the cavitation plate anode usually located above the prop. I am not really familiar with that particular boat.

It was on many of the older boats. It is gone off of mine and the boat is just fine. Call and ask norm at ww or his wife what it is for. She will most likely answer the phone and know the answer.
Boat is a inboard correct?

Yes sir, that's it! Same hull exactly. Any ideas? Cavitation plate? Where can I get a new one?

Not sure where to get another one or what it's use is for.
