I read articles from a lot of different news publications and came across this one. It kind of took me aback at first but I got to thinking; for this to be published, and to be sold out, the last statement made in the article must be wrong. This isn't the radical part of Islam, this must be mainstream thinking.

People who commit domestic assault or murder should be prosecuted with no regard to their religious affiliation.

I suspect you are right about the last statement. Maybe better to say this is orthodox thinking.

Your religious right does not trump ones right to live free of oppression, assault and worse. My or your liberty supersedes someone else’s perceived right to practice his/her religious beliefs.

That pretty much sums it up. Domestic assault is against the law in this country. Religion has no say in the US Justice system.
