So, I have my b day coming up and I haven't had a road worthy bike in a few years. Checked on having my triumph motor sent out and have it built. But, to do it the way I want (race spec) have all the internals coated, converted to belt primary, dual plugged, so on and so forth, it was to the tune of $7000 and I would have to wait 3 months and I would still have to build the rest of it. Plus, right now I don't have the time.
I've been spending my weeks in Ohio doing a couple jobs for work and my buddy brought his honda vtx 1800 down and let me ride it. That thing flat out moves, but the balance I'm not a big fan of, like most jap bikes. Harley just feels better to me with a lower center of gravity, not to start a debate, just personal preference, but the honda is a nice looking bike.
Anyway, I test road a road king and called the ol lady and said I want a harley. After she came to grips, she started looking for a bike and this is what she found. The deposit is in and I'm picking it up next weekend. Color was only produced for three months and it's slick. Pearl coat so the color changes slightly.

Here's a video that shows the color better on a road king.

Lots of good deals on used bikes out there. Even some of the big twin base model HD with warranty are reasonable. Be careful of those with mods and especially the loud pipes. The 'man' is coming after the juveniles and if you have one of those noisemakes could be an 'off-road only' bike soon. Rode a friends newer Bonneville recently. Not quite my Ducati, but still a really nice ride...(-:

Don't really like to think I'm a juvenile any more (40). I've had more problems with dirt bikes not adhering to Db levels more so the road bikes.
