anybody know if you can buy an extra long power/data cord for a garmin3210.Garmin told me they do not have anextra long cord,unless the person I spoke to is unawhere of this.My install would be so much easier if I can locate one.The standard cord is about 6 feet.I can`t believe garmin does not have them.

Why not splice, solder, heat shrink a section to the existing power cord?

I was trying to avoid that step.I want a cord to reach my panel/breaker down below for a neat one location hook up..The original power cord only can reach the engine room below the pedestal.The panel is another 12-15 feet away.

such is life, you could order a power cable for a garmin radar, they use the same plug and are very long. I am not 100% sure if the polarity is correct though. Heat shrink butt splices and shrink tube is SOP for lengthening power cables in the installation world, or you could install a 2 gang terminal strip.
