This year- my wife and I along with one other couple are looking into renting a place in Ocean City Md. We’re looking for a two bedroom that has a dock in the back to fit a 22ft boat. Preferable something on the bay. We are also looking for something that isn’t too far of a ride out to fishing and also close to any restaurants/bars on the water that we can pull up in the boat.

Can anyone recommend a place or recommend where we should stay away from? We’re looking to go down at the end of August.

Try to find something on the water from 30th street down. Anything farther than that, the water gets shallow and tricky to navigate and all of the boatable bars and restaraunts for the most part are south or in shallow water not friendly to newbies.

As mentioned you want 30th or less...maybe 32nd. Easy boating access at Lazy Lizard and of course Harborside and Sunset over in West OC. Well...Lazy Lizard isn't exactly easy if you have a 3 knot current and 20 boats drifting the east channel plus a dozen jet ski renters coming and going...but there is adequate water on most tides.

If it were me i'd look for something in Harbor Island with a slip you can use. Perfect location. There are some other buildings just s. of that as well (14th st area and a few blocks s.

Thunder island Condo ,,Mid town,, dirrect bayside condo's with slips,& parking for your boat trailer
,I used to own one there, Kept My 22' walkaround there No problems there were plenty os boats bigger than mine, "A" building is dirrect Bayfront with the best views ,,would be my first choice

acess by water is good but the back bay can be tricky in places, take time to chat with others there about water depth & where to go
here is one realtor ,but there are others

Lots of waterfront units with slips in the 94th street area as well. Just remember you have to park your trailer off the street during the May to September period.

Harbour Island on 14th and Bay. Best private marina to keep your boat at. It's kind of expensive but it's worth it. It's gated, they have a community pool, tennis courts, playground and a bar/restaurant in the houseing complex. It's also catered to fishermen and you'll see a couple badass 50'+ sporties docked there.
