I need someone that fish the Chesapeake Bay/Delaware bay who use the Structure scan. Can tell me how it work in the Chbay and del/bay. Our waters are more muddy than the south waters we just don't have that white sandy like the south states. I want to be sure before I spent $600.00.

Works fine for me in the Chesapeake Bay, especially at the CBBT.

You wont spend $600 if you go ahead and buy before april. They have a $150 rebate going on with them right now ;) ....your welcome

water clarity has nothing to do with how well the structure scan will work. Almost everyone I know who seriously fishes chesapeake structure (especially light tackle guys... not as much as those who are trolling open water) has one on their boat.
Will SS give me any advantage while drifting for Flounder?

Many prefer downscan in shallow waters over traditional sonar when drifting for a more accurate slice of what's directly under the boat. The side-scan will also help you identify small structures to the side of the boat... you know how a doormat can relate to a slide hole, rock, abandoned crab pot, etc. You can scroll back and mark a spot on the sidescan (mark shows up on plotter) and then motor over to it.
