On my boat, I currently have an Airmar P79 transducer installed and is connected a Lowrance LCX113. I recently bought a Garmin 4212 and a GSD22 so rather than pulling out the existing cord, I would like to change just the display end on the cord and connect a Garmin 6 pin connector pigtail to the cord. Which color wires on the Garmin 6 pin do I connect to the transducer?

I think I found my answer which it Blue positive and Black negative on both Garmin and Lowrance cord.

Well I thought I had it figured out but there's no blue wire on the Garmin 6 pin pigtail ;?.

The tag on the cord reads...

White: SRM +
Black: SMR -
Yellow: Silent
Green: Silent
Gray: Spare
Red: Spare

So what does SRM mean?
Can I connect the Garmin White to the Lowrance Blue and the Garmin Black to the Lowrance Black?

I do not think it is going to be compatible, but you should definitely call Airmar to get the advice you need. If it ends up working please let us know. It would be way easier to just get the P79 for a Garmin unit for $75 and stick it in the same tank.
