Ok, I am buying a boat that has an aluminum single axle trailer. It needs new springs, spring mounts and hubs. I have done hubs so i am not worried about that and i know springs are not hard to do. The problem is the spring mounts (springs are one end eye the other slipper) are welded to a piece of angle that is bolted to the trailer and attaches to the front and rear of the fenders. I want to do all the work on my own to save some money but i don't know what to do about that piece of angle. Any suggestions?

I will get some this weekend. It probably sounds more confusing than it really is. I was hoping the eastern marine guy would chime in...

Find the model number for the trailer and call the manufacturer or go to their website. You sould be able to find the part number for the assembly. It has been my experience that these assemblies are manufacturer specific so you will need the part number from them. The manufacturer may sell direct but if not, you can probably find the part online or have your local dealer order it.
