Jim,

I posted this same post in the electronics section and was advised to ask you here

I have decided to upgrade my OLD gps/plotter(GPSMAP 235) and fishfinder (Furuno LS-6000), Uniden VHF radio, am/fm/cd unit

I plan on replacing them and add these items

HDS-10
structure scan
external gps antena Lowrance 4000 or maretron
fuel flow monitor (engine too old for NMEA interface) either lowrance or Maretron
Lowrance 880 radio
Sonic Hub
Airmar P39 (if its a substantial upgrade from lowrance thats included)

To ensure I order everything needed to install in a 21' CC

what do I need?

Getting installed into a TT box which has 4 fuse block installed so power drop to HDS unit is very close

Better to start network in TT or branch from inside console where I can run network power drop from batteries (also inside console)?

Distance from TT box to bottom of console 7ft
Distance from center of console to transom mounted GPS antennae 10-11ft (mounted above separator filter)

any additional recommendations or substitutions?

Thanks for your time
Chris

The p39 is just a depth ducer. Not what you want. If you are in water less than 100' I'd suggest the 83/200 ducer option. In deeper water I'd suggest the Airmar P66.

I am not sure what a TT is. Its the end of the day and I'm spent, so sorry if its something obvious. The network usually goes inside of your console and branches out from there.

Your list looks complete, I would just add 2 Lowrance NMEA2000 starter kits to it. Why 2? because it will be the cheapest way to get the cables you need and you'll have some extras left over. Here it is - http://www.boemarine.com/Lowrance_Network_Starter_Kit-124-69/

Thank you sir

TT was referring to the T-Top some is getting installed into.

Did not realize the P39 was just depth, airmars website makes it seem as if its, depth, temp and speed. I was looking at this one as it would link into the network in close proximity to the other 2.

Does the lowrance unit have the ability to network connect also? Or would I be relying too much on it

thanks, I'll be in touch soon
