05 22CC had a nice layout at the AC boat show. I liked it? Does anyone have good or bad experiences with these boats.

22 Sea Pro, is that what you have a 22CC sea Pro. Love the look and design of that boat except for one thing that nags me... there is not much space in the back between the seat and transom. Love the livewells.... what do you think? I have an 18CC sea pro now and the idea is to move up and gain space, but it doesn't appear to have a lot of space in the back where I spend a good bit of fishing time...I would be all over that boat if there was space. It appears the sea hunt has more room in the back but smaller well and I don't know much more about it...........

Yes that is what I have. I love it. But I agree that there is not as much room as I would like between the leaning post and the back seat. But it really hasn't been that big a deal though. Therfore I am not too concerned about it. The Sea Hunts are layed out NICE. Overall I am 100% satisfied with the Pro.... One bit of advise though. If there is something that you really do not like about a boat and you cannot get it out of your mind, DON'T get that boat because it will haunt you always. But Again I am very plaesed with the boat and its performance in and offshore. I just deal with the limited space between the post and back by staying more to the Port or starboard side and it really is not a problem at all. There have been no complaints from my passengers about the space. But there is no denying that more space would be a plus........

Seahunt makes a very good boat for the money.they are a tough value to beat.they will also let you install different types of engines on their boats so you not stuck with just one motor brand .good luck

I was going to make the drive up from the coast about 170 miles to do a sea trial on the SH 22 at Chatlee probably next month..... how are they to deal with.. and how about their prices if you compared them to any other SH dealers.....

Fine mid-tier boat,(upper mid-tier IMO). I have a 172 Triton for 2 years, only gripe is the combo fish box/anchor lid. Not a problem on the 22, they are seperate. Some complaints about the scuppers not draining fast enough but move some gear forward and/or add Flo Max scuppers you should'nt have a problem. I have called the manufacturer a couple times and was treated as a customer even though the boat is a few years old, answered all my questions, and offered advice, not rushed as I have heard many complain of with many other manufacturers. You wont be sorry. Gettin 2/3 footitis myself, probably be another sea hunt. Just my 2 cents.

We are very happy with our boat which we bought from Chatlee's. Nat handled our purchase and did a terrific job. Everything was straight up and easy. I toured the Sea Hunt factory and was impressed with the boats and the people there. The Sea Hunt line offers alot of value for the money.

Brand new 172 followed me home the other day. I checked out Chatlee as well as Ed's and found my best price from Captains Choice. ccmarine.com. Boat was preped well, however I found their service personal to be short on knowledge. IMPO I was treated as if I were in a used car lot at Chatlee. However I have seen many postings on the site for Chatlee saying nice things. Guess its the same old things. Do your homework and know what you want, then compare prices. Your local dealer can handle any warranty problems. Just try and find a local mechanic you have confidence in to do whatever maintenance work you can not do yourself.

I have a 202 on order. Been researching CC's for about a year. It seems Sea Hunt is the way to go. I had a few questions and called their customer service 3-4 times. They were always very helpful.

What the heck is a Flo Max scupper?????

I have the 2003 navigator 19', dad has a 1998 20' cc, brother-in-law has the 17' dual console...none of us work for or are affiliated in any way with Sea Hunt.

Enough said.

I own the 202 and couldn't be happier (unless it was the 232). I bought mine at Chatlee in Sanford, SC. I live closer to Ed's but got a much better deal down there. Service is very good. I had a few issues with warranty work and Jay at Sea Hunt just had me take it to a local shop here in Va. Beach and they took care of it. Nice folks and a great boat for the $.

LOVE 'EM.

I had an 2000 Escape 175 and last March moved up to the 2002 Victory 215. Excellent boats, I have no problems with either of them and can easily recommend Sea Hunt.

Bought my first one from Chatlee in Sanford, NC. The second one I bought from an individual.

2003 Sea Hunt 202 CC..Johnson 150 2-stroke..

Very happy with boat....wish it were a 22 or a 23...a stable dry ride provided you use your head....I too did research for several years, SeaPro was on my short list too..as well as Hydra-Sport..just too many things I liked more with the Sea Hunt layout and use of deck space...I would get the low striper rail next time around..

I don't think you'll regret a decision to buy a Sea Hunt..

I couldn't find that capt choice site. I can't complain about Chatlee's service, they spent a lot of time testing the boat, going over the features, etc. I did not feel pressured or rushed at all. Any time I've called them about a maintenance issue, they've given me an acceptable answer.

the captains choice site is http://ccmarine.com/ They claim to be the hometown dealership for Sea Hunt. (Sea Hunt boats are made near-by?)

What is the good price you guys are referring to on the 232. At the ATL. boat show the local dealer said he could get me into one for around 37 boat motor and trailer. Is it worth my time driving to S.C.It's only a few hundred miles away and after tons of research I've decided on the 232 for a purchase this spring?

Ed's lists this boat w/225/4-stroke Yama, T-top, leaning post, and "options"(?) for $31,999. Trailer is EXTRA - $3,000 for galv. roller OR alum. bunk. Dual-axle on both and torsion.

i guess Captain's choice marine says they are SeaHunts home town dealer since they are the nearest dealer to the factory. SeaHunt is about 20 to 30 miles away from CCMARINE.iTHINK IT MAY BE DEBATABLE IF THEY HAVE THE BEST PRICE.I went by there 3 times before i got someone to talk to me(obvious they are not high pressurre) & E-MAILED them twice with no responce.when i finally talked to someone there they were nice but i agree on the service dept. i talked to one of the guy's there & he was a nice guy but not the most knowledgeable guy i have talked to.but alltogether it seemed like a good dealer.

Curious, do the older 04 and older Sea Hunt's offer the same layout with that 18 gallon livewell in the stern on the CC's? Where is the cheapest place to get a new one...I'm guessing Chatlee like yall are saying or does anywhere have an 04 or 03? And one last question, how does a 22CC run with a 150 a passenger or 2, gear and such? Speed? Or do you need to bump up the engine?

I think the general consensus in that there is NO NEED to bump the HP on a 220 CC. Some people choose to and I am happy with my decision on the 225 just as many on the board here are happy with the F150. Nice boats and before purchasing with Chatlee, if you are near the coast I would give Boats Unlimited a call here in New Bern. Great customer service and very competitive pricing from what I have seen. 252-634-9600 and ask for John.

I just found out my local dealer has a leftover triton 200 (2003?) How do these differ from the current 202? How much discount would it be reasonable to shoot for for a 2 year old "new" boat?

SCAngler,
I sent captains choice an email last night asking about pricing on a 212. One of their sales people called me this afternoon. He was very helpful and seemed to be fairly knowledgable about his Sea Hunts and boating in general. He suggested that his prices would be at least as good as anyone's given that they had lower shipping costs, being close to the plant. So far, only good things to say about their response.
Ed

Captain's Choice is about 30-40 minutes from Sea Hunt's factory on Lake Murray (dealer, not Sea Hunt). Very low pressure dealer. Allen (owner, I think) spent some time with us including touring the Sea Hunt plant and test driving a couple of Sea Hunts. In the end he could not match or beat the deal that a Georgia dealer offered so he does not always have the lowest pricing. His lowest price was about $1600 higher.

STill wondering, does an 04 or 03 Sea Hunt CC , 22CC to be exact, have the same layout with the livewell in the stern against the transom in the center?? 18 gallon? Want to buy a 22CC with 4 stroke power and that livewell set up......looking for new used......Know anyone or dealers with this? I really can't afford a brand spanking new rig....need to knock off some loot.

The 186, 220, 232 center consoles and the 215 Victory have had the 18 gallon transom live well since they were introduced. Well, the 186, 220, and 215 have 18 gallon wells while the 232 has a 19 gallon. The 202 and 212 have the live wells forward of the console underneath the seat.
