Trucks & Trailers - DeeMaxx Disc Brakes, owner experience?

Just wondering, who else has DeeMaxx brakes on their trailer?

The Tiedown vs Kodiak debate is well documented here and on other forums, but I see next to nothing on DeeMaxx.

I have DeeMaxx on my Owens & Sons trailer, and I have had no issues so far one season in on Cad plated calipers & rotors with saltwater use.

I'm curious how many others have DeeMaxx brakes and what are your experiences so far?

Not looking to start a war over who makes the best brakes, I just want to get some info flowing about another player in the market.

I don't think it really matters, but also tell us who made your trailer and if you have a surge or E/H system.
Also, let us know if you have Cad plated or stainless calipers/rotors.

My trailer is an Owens & Sons, with Cad plated calipers & rotors and I have E/H.

I checked out the DeeMaxx site. Look like they would do the job. The offer all stainless with the removable hubs too. Sounds like Owens made the switch. Probably wouldnt do it if they were going to cheapin their product. The brakes look pretty close to my Kodiaks as you stated.

I was just told DEEMAXX were now standard on Continetal Trailes, rep claimed they were as good if not better.

The guy that started Deemax used to be with Kodiak. Same idea. Pretty similar products. The brackets are interchangeble. I had a set put on my trailer but they broke pretty quickly so I put kodiaks back on. I think trailer places are using them because they are cheaper.

Continental will do Deemaxx for you for the same price as Tie Down Discs, but you have to pay a $100 assembly fee. The reason is Continental gets the axles and brake assemblies pre-assembled from Tie Down directly, so they charge a labor fee to break them down and reassemble with the Deemaxx parts.

I have one season in with my Deemaxx brakes....so far so good.
