2005 200 HPDI's.

Oil is not transferring from the reservoir tank in the console to the starboard engine. The emergency transfer switch DOES work - so it's not the inline filter or the pump.

The alarm will sound forcing the RPM's to lower when the engine oil tank is still about 1/3 or more full....seems like a lot of oil left to force a slowdown.

I've read up on everything and think I need a new float switch in the starboard engine oil tank. Sound right?

Any help is appreciated.

That sounds about right for the oil alarm to go off. The alarm is to tell you its getting close.

Easy thing for you to do with twins, is swap the complete engine mounted oil tank assy, engine to engine. See if the problem goes with the tank. A few bolts.....a couple of hoses.....and wire harness plugs. Easy.

Thanks Andy! I'll try that out. If I need a new switch I'll be in touch.
