Patriots should win, unless they're -3 in turnover differential... I guess it's possible, if Baltimore can get pressure on Brady, and cause some mishaps.
But, ask yourself... Do you really think Joe Flaco can beat Tom Brady?
Also, Baltimore played a lousy game against Houston (while the Patriots played an outstanding game versus Denver). And Baltimore is a poor road team.
Good reason the Pats are favored by 7.5 pts.
We'll see, that's why they play the games.

Ravens D has to win the game just like they did when Trent Dilfer was the QB. Don't think they have the firepower to keep up with Pats.

What does the THT think?I think its 50/50 But dont think their is anyone in their locker who doesent want revenge on the Birds or Gmen in their locker room. You're gonna see a different Pats team and a Coach with a spur on his ass. This time around Reed is going to have two big tight ends to deal with at the line and Wes Welker is playing this time.Gonna be a lot of bodies flying in this game.:)

As much as I would love to see the Ravens win with our UM boys Reed and Lewis playing but I don't think they have it. The defense is looking a little slow. TJ Yates is a 3rd string QB and was able to throw on them. They got no real pressure on him which is the only way to beat Brady in that offense. They have to pound him and to do that they have to get to him and I don't see that happening. I think they can score on the Pats but not enough.

The Ravens defense looked better than it was against the mistake prone Packers. The Ravens offense struggled at times against the Packers. The Ravens have one day less than the Patriots to prepare and have to travel to Foxboro. Patriots 31 Ravens 17

The Ravens were just too discombobbled against Texans. The balance the Patriots displayed against Denver will wear the Ravens down.
I think Jay A is about right on score....I might go at least another field goal for Patriots.

I might be looking at the game wrong but, if you look at the numbers the Ravens should win. The Pat's allow 27 points per game and their defense is ranked 27th. Baltimore's defense is ranked 4th. I think the Raven's defense will win the game for them again. My pick is N.E. 21- Balti. 24.

No, the Patriots averaged allowing 21 pts a game during the season, not 27. They averaged scoring 32 pts/game.
The Ravens averaged allowing 16 pts a game during the season and scored 23 points a game.
So, if you use this angle to analyze, the Pats outscored their opponent by 11 pts/game, while the Ravens outscored their opponent by 7 pts/game.

As long as Cam Cameron doesnt pretend he has Brady and the Ravens feed the Pats a good diet of Rice (with a few pass plays mixed in) the Ravens will win. Brady isnt going to be able to have a field day against the Ravens D..
It is up to the Ravens offense to not go 3 and out regulary. Enough where the Ravens D gets some rest. This also means the ravens receivers cannot drop passes.

I bleed Purple and Black, but respect this match-up. If Suggs can put some pressure on Tom, and Rice can find some holes that this past Sundays terrible O line can hopefully give him, it will be a game. At least we as fans respect each other. If the Pats were playing the Steelers, we would all be Baltimore Brady fans. Just like we were Tebowing all over Maryland last weekend when Tim put the Steelers on their couches for the rest of the playoffs! LOL These are a couple of my Ravens drawings. Check out more on my blogsite, and some boat pictures in the boating and outdoor photo thread "best drawing of a boat"

I really think the Ravens have a shot at beating the Patriots, but it sure as shit ain't gonna be easy! For that to happen, the defense must be RELENTLESS and get to Brady and mess with him mentally.
Additionally, Flacco needs to hustle and not be so clumsy in the pocket. You gotta admit, he ain't very quick. Ray Rice needs to get more carries, too. I think Boldin and Smith will have some key plays. Lastly, it's going to come down to turnovers.

Good points from all you guys! I dont see this being a two touchdown game. I see blowout one way or another, or last second kick. But I cant pick either way. If Rice gets the ball 25 times or more, the Ravens win. If Ravens get behind early, and Flacco has to throw, we're done! As far as all those weapons that Brady has, I cant argue with that, but as far as our OLD defense, these two senior citizens are still better than most in the league.

Yes, but Baltimore is Hungrier, and Healthier. They had good teams the last 5 or 6 years, but could not get past the Steelers. They finally have, and are chomping at the bit.
For those Raven fans posting, I can't stand Ray Lewis. He is and always has been a great player, and I respect him for that. However, he should leave it at that, and close his mouth. His really stupid antics coming out on the field screaming, making a big fuss as if he is the only guy on the field, and then screaming at all his players in a huddle before the game chanting and jumping around every week is a complete waste of energy. He blows 1/2 his load before the game even starts most of the time. If I were his coach, I'd sit him down a say "stop waisting all your energy before the game!!".
Ray Rice will have close to 200 yards in this game.
The problem for Raven fans is, they will blow their load against the Pats, win the game, and then lay an egg in the SB. Just like they did all season, win big games against the Steelers, then lay an egg against KC or the likes.

Patriots defense is holding up but allowing too many big plays for Ravens. They started strong but have lost it as usual in the secondary.

Ravens are discombobulating Brady which is my biggest wory for 2nd half.

As Lee Corso would say "Not so fast my friend"!!! Although I picked the Pats to win I think the Ravens are doing what they need to do. Hit Brady and knock the recivers off their routes. The real super defensive play of that final Ravens offensive drive was the destroyed touchdown right before the blown field goal. If the Patriots lost, the missed challenge on the Gronk sideline play would be brought up first along with taking a knee before the half with all that time.

That's about as bad a Tom Brady pass I can remember that he threw where he wanted, the ravens were down their quick. Still a huge element of luck on the int. but that was badddd. Especially after getting the ball and momentum.
"Tom you don't have Randy Moss any more you can't do that", I do bet even the past prime Randy Moss Brady threw to probably would have come down with it.
No wonder Brady is so loved and hated, it's the embarrassment of riches he has in his life. His teams win in every way imaginable. How many times does that game go like that?

Well, they had some luck today -- no question.
But I wouldn't say Brady has "embarrassment of riches", that's for sure...
One of the worst defenses in the League -- so much so that he had to put up 30+ points a game to win this season...He doesn't have a deep threat, like the other elite QB's (Brees, Rogers)... And hasn't had a great RB in years.
The whole TE explosion this year was a big surprise to everyone. And, it seems like Brady tailored his approach to them, because he had to...
Usually, he's out there doing it himself.
Should be an interesting Super Bowl. I think the Pat match up better with the Niners...

I was speaking to his life as hole, the rings, the wife, the looks, the money, never saying the wrong thing, being immobile but the best. He's 11 years in and there are people who still believe he's just a system QB as he hovers around or breaks all time records. He probably shits golden eggs, lol.

Don't blame the kicker. Blame the receiver that didn't tuck the ball after the td catch. First thing you teach on any level. Catch and tuck.
Kind of my thought as well, bet you 10-1 he was more worried about his TD "dance" than tucking the ball away. All he had to do was fall backwards and HOLD ON TO THE BALL;?;?
Remember there were two interceptions by the Ravens that had flags thrown on them also.
That didn't help.
.
Both plays flags were thrown BEFORE the interception and I know on the off sides penalty Brady knew he had a free play and tried to force it and see what would happen

Where`s Bird?
Oh he must be driving Rice to school on the short bus.
Glad Brady played poorly this week. He has one of these games every year.

Great game. Love hate relationship with the Ravens. Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Suggs, Ngata, Rice are all GREAT players. Shame someone had to go home.
I was in Baltimore a few months ago and everyone but the bartender was a dick after they found out I was from NE... This was during the first game against Buffalo where they lost. So I don't feel so bad that they did not make it.

You guys are being a bit hard on your own team?? From what I saw on the few replays I saw of that game last night, the pats did a decent job holding off the Rice burner. The mistake your making is, not giving Baltimore enough credit, they are/WERE ;) a very good team this year. So they probably just made your cheatriots not look quite as good as you expected to see them.
A win is a win, be happy you came out on top. From what I herd, you should not have! ;)
What happend on the Gronk replay your talking about?? Balt. should have thrown the red flag, or Pats should have??? He's a great TE they have there!!

We won't know until he's on the field... there was confirmation he'll play. Nothing is broken.
But, we'll see what that really means. I still think Brady was about 60% agains the Giants in the 2007 Super Bowl (remember, he was injured in the same way, and cameras followed him wearing a "boot"... Gronk was wearing a boot when he left Gillette last night...)

What is the meaning of Machria? I can find no reference to such a word.
Herd. n. A group of animals.
Wilfork played a hell of a game.
Brady sucked and said as much. Lots of flyers. He`ll be wicked pissed now.
Your. I`ll save this for the next lesson as I can see you`re tired and confused.

If its a High Ankle Sprain, thats a tough injury to recover from in two weeks.

The laces were not the issue.
What everyone is hearing from the reporters is that Billy would not have been rushed to do the kick if a time out would have been called.
whatever...it's over and they had a good season.

Ligament damage can mean anything... a light sprain (nothing) or something serious and debilitating.
Regardless, I think this guy is a total fuc#ing warrior, and will take a shot of some hard-core numbing agent, and be out there to cause some trouble...

I thought the GRIN would have signaled that this was sarcasm. Birdie used injuries as an excuse for the pitifulsburg stoolers pitiful season.

No, actually the bottom line is the ball was stripped, and the Pats won. ;cool;
Such is life -- the Pats have been on that side of things more times than I'd like to think about...

If Evens drops to the ground the DB either pulls his arm out or gets it broken.;)
