Mid Atlantic and Chesapeake Bay - Striper Report VA Beach (Big Thanks to Mud Runner)

I posted last last week that I was looking for info on taking my son and grandsons fishing in the Chesapeake/VA Beach area for Stripers. Mud Runner not only posted back, he called me and gave me great info. So Mud Runner down at the Little Creek Marina is one awesome guy! We got hooked up with a 1/2 day trip on a party fishing boat on friday (today) out of the dock side marina. We did a 1/2 day trip because i had a 4:40pm flight home. My buddy Steve trolled all day Thursday with no fish, but he said he was in the company of 200 other boats. I know what he meant leaving the marina today.
The trip:
6am wake up with the Grandsons Riley (10) Zack (8) and my son Dwight. On the water heading out to the bridge-tunnel for some Striper Catching. We were aboard the other party boat out of the Dockside Marina http://www.fishingvabeach.com/, sorry forgot the name. Capt Kevin and his brother Dave took great care of us. Dave gave the boys extra special attention and we got each all the boys and including "Papa" (me) a schoolie Striper. It was a cold but fun filled trip. Thanks Capt Kevin and Dave! A great trip thanks to some awesome tidewater area folks sharing info and taking care of people. Here are the pics!

It's GREAT to see that you guys got fish and had a good time. I'm sorry we didn't get to see each other. I was awaiting a call from you Thursday but unfortunately had to take my wife to the doctor and had to take the day off (nothing serious thank God). Those smiles tell it all. Next time you're up, we'll get you out on the Mud Runner. :thumbsup:
