Jim,

Mrs. Clause may have gotten my christmas gift of a NSS8 (from you).

So if the rumor is true and that is what is under the tree what do you recommend for a Transducer. Fishing oil rigs off louisiana plus deep dropping so anywhere from 10 to 1000+

I would recommend a 1kW ducer for sure. The mounting style is the question. I would call Glacier Bay or check with other owners to see what they have had luck with. Generally an in-hull works best on a cat, but cats are very finicky. So ask around to see whats working for others.
