Hey guys, My wife and I are flying down for the Miami Boat show. Any recommendations on places to stay for 125 bucks a night and below? I would hate to book a place online only to find out that we are close to the ghetto! Thanks yall!

You better becarefull at that price, I stayed right across the street 2 years ago.. I think it was 250? a night but keep in mind you will spend more parking and taxi rides so 250 isn't bad

Ha... Lowest rate at the Colony for the show dates is around $300 per night. Everyone ups their rates for the show. You better double your hotel budget or you'll be at the Red Roof in at Miami airport with planes flying over you at 100 feet.

Thanks for the info fellas. Another question: How many days should we put aside for the show? We will be relocating from Tennessee to Stuart within a year and were really hoping to check out that area as well. I think it's about a 2 hr drive. Maybe we could stay somewhere in the middle?

Well if your planning on checking other stuff out I wouldn't stay near the show. I would get a place up the road maybe like an hour away on the beach. Rent a car with a gps and have map quest your trip for a back up, Get a map of city incase you get lost. Hey 2 days at the boat show should have you full...Take a camera. I wouldn't walk alone at night around Miami either

I'm staying about 30 minutes away at a Marriott-Townplace Suites in Miami Lakes. $142/night (with AAA) for a 2 bedroom suite. My buddy snores like a sailor.

If this is your first visit to the show, plan at least two days, Miami Show has a lot to see.

Good Luck !

I just booked at the New Yorker on priceline for $118. Might not be the best place but I wanted something cheap. First time heading down to the show and I wont be spending much time in the room anyways! I will have to taxi or drive to the parking. Everything I found in walking distance was $$$$.

you will enjoy Stuart, My parents have a second home there and it is a nice town. About 90 minutes from Miami. It is southern enough so it is always pretty warm, and northern enough to keep out of the heavy traffic
Lots of good boating
