Just passing this along to THT, for anyone looking for a 31 Cape Horn

I don't know anything about the boat and don't know if the add is legit

the Pensacola Craigslist does sometimes have bogus boat adds for some strange reason

http://pensacola.craigslist.org/boa/2706202784.html

This looks like a sleeper deal

finally someone asking what the boat is worth by book values

What book value are you referring to? Just looked this boat up on NADA and here are the numbers. For what they call "Suggested List Price", it is:

Boat $52,867.00
Per Engine $19,350.00(x2)

Comes to $91,567.00 not including the trailer and the tower. I don't think it is worth that but you mentioned book value and that is what the NADA book says.

You quoted the New "List Price."

The NADA Average Retail is:
Boat (w/ T-top): $27K
Motors: $9K each
Trailer: $6K

Grand Total Average Retail: $51K

I am actually the person who purchased the boat today. Other than needing a good cleaning the boat is in great shape. The boat only has two hundred and fifty original hours on the F225 Yamaha engines. The only reason the boat was for sale and at that price was because the owner had passed away and the family wanted it gone. The tower on this boat is incredible. The owners son told me that they originally paid $190,000.00 for the boat with the custom tower and all of the options that it had. They had only been fishing in the boat eight or nine times. The tread on the tires were like new but I had all of them replaced because they looked a little dry rotted. I believe I could have resold this boat more than once on my way home.

I plan on keeping the boat and fishing it. I feel very lucky and fortunate to own this boat. Hit me up this summer nat and we will go fishing on it. Thanks for the heads up man.

190k? calling bullspit on that considering you can get a brand new one for 115k-120k +++. When I was looking for a new one in 07 it was 99500 with tandom trailer. With twin F250's So unless they had 50k in electronics and another 20 in the top.

Nice boats I miss the hell out of mine I settled on a 2006 back in the day and it was everything i needed and wanted out of a boat and more. That thing was 100% a battle waggon and I regret selling it.

Enjoy your new toy
2004-2005 Ch31 with decent power and electronics should be 50's 2006 should be 65-70 depending on options and 2007-2009 78-98 depending on set up. 2010+ are going to be a bit more :)
2 years ago I found a 2006 with rudes for 63k. it needed a minor amount of love but that was a steal... STEAL...
