Just wanted to share (and brag a little) a video my son made to win a sponsorship from a skateboard company. His mom and I went to the Keys and he went to Southern California to shoot a lot of the footage. He and his friend Tyler did all of the filming and editing themselves. The soundtrack is not for everyone but it's a cool video. good job Reagan.

Cool video and everything, but it pales in comparison to naming your son "Reagan"

Your kid has some balls man! I used to skate but not as extreme as that. Living in Miami with absolutely no hills makes it tough to even get that extreme.

Great job on the video and skating.

Jeez that skating makes me feel old. It's been at least 20 years since I even stepped foot on a board.

The video filming is great -- the music sucks enough so that you should rethink your posting the video. You can use the edit feature to remove it.

Regardless of how proud you are of your son, there is no justify that music. You should be ashamed of your son, and shame on you! :nono:

Yes, I know what I am post is harsh, but not nearly as harsh and offensive as that music. And I am not going to back down on this point.

So what was the sponsorship for? Was it your son's riding abilities or his ability to video the riding or his music selection?

Now I understand the logic behind picking the sickest badest music one can find to sell the nature of the video, but that music sucked shit! For me, with the sound turned on that video would have been more appealing if your son had pulled a track from "Fiddler on the Roof".

Either way, good for Reagan and congrats to you and Ma......but you and Ma really need to talk with your boy over what he thinks is right when he put that verbal blasphemy to that video footage. :bashhh:

Watched the video while ridding so no music but he's doing what he loves to do and that's all that matters. When I do get time to slow down I can watch these extreme sports on tv for hours. One thing everyone can agree on,,, they are enjoying life and doing it their own way....Respect anyone that has the courage to go it alone or color outside the lines...........

The man makes a good point. Why diminish the effort of making a
good video by taking the low road on the music?

Wow great skater. Ya the music was up-in my grill, I got my ball cap out, pulled my shorts down to my knees, I just strapped on my guns and felt like bustin some caps. Then I realized I could not walk. You have know idea how many times the guy in the mirror was jacked up, man I was so pumped up then I came back to reality hell I'm almost 50. Great video

rockport dave - excellent vid and a big congrats to your son!

To the guys moaning about the music - simple fix would be to turn the volume down.

Chances are his son doesn't even like that kind of music.

I am willing to bet they used that song just for the presentation to the skate company. The song does project a "crazy I don't give a f**k" attitude which is what a lot of skaters do possess.

In this case this was like applying for a job. You might need to put on a suite for an interview. These kids needed to create something that would appeal to young skater kids.

I skated many years ago and used to do a lot of speed runs. The power slides are impressive especially the 360 slide. For a skateboard company the Music is fine. I would perfer the Almond Brothers but I don't think that would appeal to the skateboard crowd.

BPM or Tiesto on xm,, > Perfect. for extreme videos.
If you have xm on direct tv or dish,, which most packages do, bpm might be on it.
Thats what usually ends up playing in night clubs the last two hours before closing. Non stop beat.

Awesome!

I long board with my kid and his buds on w/e here in So. Beach. Not having hills here sucks. Things have changed quite a bit since i started in '78. My first board was plastic with short trucks and funky wheels.

Your kid has cojones to ride that fast. Great vids. I'm in the office so couldn't hear the music. WTF. :roll If I remember correctly we were told to "turn that rock crap down" while we were growing up. Before that, Rock 'n Roll was the "Devil's work".

Personally, I can hear some Led Zep on that vid

I see kids riding skakeboards in the ghetto all the time . After listening to that crap i wanted to go slap my bit*h up.
Much better with the sound turned off.
Your kid has nice wheels though. Pretty exciting to watch.

You are right on Scarab! I don't think the kid listens to any kind of music. I said the music wasn't for everyone. He did what he felt like he had to do to get the job done. He's a good kid, never gives me any grief and makes good grades in advanced classes. I'm proud of what he did and I'm not backing down on that point. Glad you enjoyed the video.

I think you have every right to be a proud Dad, but I also happen to agree with Eyeball 100%. What this, (will not call it music) represents does not seem to be what you have described as your son moral nor ethic upbringing and/or background. If that is the case, why would you let your son deface his reputation for $$$$$

Not worth it in my opinion, but that's just my opinion, and you know what they say about those!!!
