Awesome boat! I agree on the pulpits though. I know on a lot of boats they serve a purpose, but those and windlass really take away from a clean looking boat IMO.

I fish with the owner's son. It's a 1986 47' Davis. The boat was just repainted, new hardtop and several other updates. It was also previously repowered with 800 hp Cats. It is listed for sale on yachtworld.

Isnt that the 1987 44 ocean that was customized by Merrit? they took the bridge off a 46 merritt the interior reworked the salon entrance and did a custom center console pod on the bridge. think its for sale for like 129k ill find the listing

Taking off the pulpit and the rails really does improve the looks of that boat. We have an 89 SS48 with pulpit and rails - because those items fit how we use the boat - but I gotta admit I like the look without them.
