From Alex's Bait and Tackle. August 21, 2011 report: Well everyone we’ve been having some great action with fluke on fresh baits (spearing, mullet, peanut bunker)the bite seems to best right now from mid day to sunset here off the inlet wall. Theres all some shad moving in around dusk sabika rigs are working best. the snapper fishing has also been really hot spearing is the best bait but snapper zappers are also working well. we’ve also been seeing some good catches at night with Striped Bass here off the rocks on sand worms. the surf fishing at night has also been good with shark-en try some bunker chunk or mackerel chunk. The party boat’s are fleet is sailing daily with good catches call the shop or stop by for the latest boat info and fishing reports.

Yeah I remember catching DOZENS a night when we would be anchored in the river....sabiki rigs or small jig heads, and metals kill em! But the water is so dirty like said above.
