The Annapolis "in water" Show is going to be Oct 13-16. This will be our second year up there, hope we get nice weather again like last year. I was wondering what other THT people are planning on attending?

Thanks for the reminder, plan to be there. Hopefully the weather turns out as nice as it was last year. What boat(s) will you be displaying?

I've never been to the Annapolis boat show, but I do have family in the area. For those of you who have been there before, what is the show like? Would it be worth the 6-7 hour drive?

some years are better than others, depends on how many boats show up, always a lot of small boats.

FishnFool, we will be there with our new 19ft display boat (which should be done next week) in fighting lady yellow and a 150 yamaha. I think we are going to be in the same area as Scout and some others this year, which will be much better for us than last year.

Well I can only afford a small boat anyways. :)

Using fishing as an anology it's hit or miss and it largely depends on the weather. Last year's show I thought was very good, GREAT weather, /lots of good quality boats, most of the name brands were there (Pursuit, Scout, Boston Whaler, Contender, Intrepid, Robalo, Grady, Edgewater, Sailfish, Hydrasports etc, etc) and there were plenty of large express fishing boats/yachts to include Viking and Cabo to name a few. Considering the economy and the general state of the boating industry were arguably worse off then than they are today (fingers crossed) I would expect this yrs show will be just as good or better in terms of the number and type of boats that will be on display. If you plan to make a weekend out of it, yes, I think it's worth the trip, plus the show is held right on the waterfront in downtown Annapolis which is a great place in itself to visit/eat/drink.

I was hoping to see that new larger model of yours.

I went to the show last year, and it was fantastic. Got to check out so many boats, talk to builders and dealers, and bought a few accessories at good prices. Weather permitting, I will definitely go again this year.
To make matters more interesting, the weekend before will host both the sailboat show in Annapolis AND Trawlerfest in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. I went to that one last year, and while it is a smaller collection of boats and dealers, it is still great to check out those beautiful Nordhavns, Flemings, Kadey-Krogens, etc., and schmooze with the dealers.
Did I mention the swag? Brochures, DVDs, magazines, etc. Bring a large backpack.

I plan on being there. Already told my wife I was "busy" that weekend. It's only about an hour from me so it's a no brainer. Would love to see the 19' Tideline. Looks like it would be a great boat for the Chesapeake.

Would love to have you come take a look Mytime, look for us on Dock B. If the weather is nice, the Annapolis show is a tough one to beat. It is in a really nice area and has lots of great boats to look at in a very well put together dock.

I agree with the weather statement. If its bad the show grounds can have 2'' of standing water. Love Anap but it is not a cheap town either.

Intrepid Powerboats will be there this year. We will have one of our new 327 Open's, a brand new 40' Open Tournament Edition and our 370 Cuddy with the Seven-Marine Motors (running). Unfortunately I won't be there, but come out and say hello anyway!

John,
When you say running 7 marine motors, does that mean sea trials are possible?

We are driving up from NC to go to the show, and am really looking forward to it. Does anyone know if there are any discount coupons to the show online?

I don't believe they are doing sea trials, but they will be able to fire the motors. They have run, and have been tested. They will have some performance numbers and video of it running up at the show.

Was the 370 Cuddy with the Seven-Marine Motors delivered to Anchor yacht? I live down the street from them and those motors catch your eye. I saw today it was moved to the show, I will be there on Sunday to check out all the new toys.
Are there any boats there for the peons like me or all the all big ticket?

I saw and heard the seven marine motors just down the dock from us this afternoon as we moved in. They sound like a hot rod but not loud, pretty cool.
Kone, there are boats of all sizes there. From kayaks up to some monster yacht that has to be 150 feet or more. A lot of the usual guys are there, scout, pioneer, etc.

Annapolis wine and cheese crowd but still neat to see the high dollar boats. There were some smaller boats there last year to climb on but far more bagel boats and high dollar cruisers.
Tempted to go but really would rather be fishing so probably be staying home.
