Just curious how many have been made & if anyone has one yet. Anyone out there own one, that they could comment on? Looks to be another 20' SeaCraft hull copy, with a different shear line. Thanks

A bay-style fishing boat designed (I presume) for shallow draft--with the engine on a fixed transom bracket? Most bay boat fishermen I know want jackplates.

Yes. Interesting huh? They call it a Bay boat, yet they used a deep-vee hull, more common offshore. Anyone out there own one yet? ;?

I was under the impression that the bay boat models they offer are older redone sea crafts, there is one in the photos section of this forum by the member mahimaster and another whose forum name I can't remember. There was a bit of confusion as to what it actually says on the title after it's all said and done considering they are redone hulls. Maybe some one else has more info. And yes they are pretty cool, I personally prefer the offshore version the bay version looks a little sketchy to be standing on with a boat that has that type of deadrise. Just my opinion..

old 20' seacraft resto. I do like the layout. Not sure how they're getting away with calling it something else when you're at the tax man office for tags/registration/title though.

I don't get it.

Too big for a bay boat, flush decks are a no no if it's rough, too much casting deck space for offshore.

A crossover? A boat meant to do many things but not one thing well.

PS - It's a Design issue, Not a construction issue.

Look at the link I posted above of the 20 with the bracket, that is the offshore version. A 23 with the same layout wouldn't be too bad for what you have been looking for.

I agree, If the decks were gone I would consider one. Nice freebaord on that boat. When I opened the thread I was hoping for a True 22ft boat that was just like the 27 layout. :(

You need better sea legs i guess...IMO its the ultimate boat for the way I want to use it... put a few trout and redfish in it last week...gonna hopefully work the midnight lump on it next week....;? On the pretty days this summer, It'll be a lot more affordable to go snapper and lemon fishing out of than my fountain. And the stereo will keep everyone happy at the island on sundays.
You really have to see and experience it to appreciate it, you wouldn't believe how stable it is.

Still talking to Carlton. I already have my boat for this year and do not want to lose another season to a builder telling me 4-6 weeks then have it take 9 months. I lost the last two seasons to that crap!

This one won't work for me unless they changed the cap a good bit as well. Looks like a really big flats boat. I need some space down in the boat up here in the NE. We don't do any flats stuff up here. Its all outside and normally drifting rips.

Love the Hull though!

Both the offshore and the bay versions of the conch 22 are redone 20 seacraft hulls. I beleive they have built five or six of the 22's so far (some bay some offshore layout). I had mine done with an offshore layout. Here is the build thread http://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-outdoor-photos/358553-seacraft-conch-transformation.html

I wouldn't explain squat. That boat is bad azz, anyone who wants something built to their liking can pony up "a few dollars" and design one to their specs, instead of criticizing someone else's choice.

Both those Conch boats are sweet. I wonder how many calls they fielded based on y'all's build threads?

mahi, do you plan on having any seating for driving, or is the rear deck close enough?

Not once did I refer to mahimasters boat.

These are not productions boats... you can build it however you want.

In this case, I love the layout for south florida. I could catch everything from bonefish to swordfish on it.

Any pictures of an offshore version of the seacraft 23? Which would be a conch 25? That I would love to see, like madanglers but a little bigger and with more rod holders.

Really interesting boat. It does look like a flats boat cap on a sea craft...but it is a nice looking boat. I think the old sea crafts drafted about 12 - 14 inches which is on par with most bay boats. I hope I get to see one in person some day that is always a potential game changer....for me at least. That 80 gallon live well in the front is crazy big! I am usually not a fan of a stand up pipe configuration for live wells, but at least then you control the fill level. That would be some massive bow weight filled up!

If anyone knows the draft please post it......
