getting my gear ready for trolling for tuna, have you guys tried bars rigged with sluggos??

They jump around a lot. Runs best in calm seas and slow speeds.

They tangle easy and a school of bluefish are your worst nightmare. I've caught a bunch on naked single white sluggos rigged with 200 floro on a ballyhoo sized hook waaay back. They will find it.

We have had some decent yellow fin on a sluggo daisy chain, but they seem to be better worked singularly and as JBG108 says.. way back! squid color and white seem to generate the most interest.

Fisherman's Outfitters in Gloucester makes sluggo bars. I saw them today and they are really good looking. Only concern as someone else said would be bluefish.
