I don't know how everyone feels about ethanol added fuel but if given the choice I want to use ethanol free fuel in my marine engines. I haven't found any of the marinas on the south shore of Lake Erie that offer ethanol free fuel. The marinas I contacted claimed they didn't know if their fuel had ethanol, or they told me they couldn't get non-ethanol fuel. I know it's not true that they can't get it, it simply costs more and is a little tougher to locate.
I found this website that shows locations that have ethanol free fuel by state. There sure isn't a lot of them in Ohio, click the state you want and it will show the stations that currently offer non-ethanol fuel. By all means if you guys find a station not listed PLEASE list it. Here is the link to the website:
Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada (http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=OH)
I only have one place near me but I will be filling up my outboard powered boat at Turtle Point Marina to make sure I don't have any problems in my older 85HP Merc.

Russ,
I was at Fox Haven Marina on Friday and they had it available. Downside is it was like 30 cents higher per gallon then their regular. maybe 4.50 something?

Great, thanks for the update.
I would really like to find some land based stations that offer ethanol free fuel. I have a fishing buddy that goes to Florida for 3 months during the winter. He told me in Florida many of the land based gas stations have ethanol free fuel.

Conneaut boat Club in Conneaut only has ethanol free fuel if anyone's out that way. 10 pound bag of ice is just a buck too!

Being on the St. Lawrence River we have choices on both shores for gas and now the only one is Gordon's Marine in Gananoque. But they are selling it for a premium, around $1.60/ltr or $6/gal.
Bonnie Castle used to be ethanol free but they couldn't find a supplier.

Tibbels has ethanol free? Is it marked on their pumps? Is it 89 octane?

Just for laughs you may want to check if ethanol free fuel actually makes any difference to your merc. I have an 04' 150 2S and the technician told me not to worry about it because Merc designed their engines to handle a wide range of fuel. This guy has been working on mercs for close to 30 years so he knows a thing of two and maybe this only applies to the newer motors. Might be worth looking into.

Not the engine that is the problem, the fuel lines and fuel tanks are being impacted by the ethanol depending on what they are made out of.
And fyi Russ; spoke with Beck suppliers a few days back and Drawbridge Marina on the Portage river is alcohol free and at least 89 octane and that is what they specifically order; it does cost a little more to the tune of 20 cents per the supplier, 10 for the higher octane and 10 for ethanol free.

Thanks Jim for the lead on Drawbridge marine. That's right on my way to the lake.

I found out that Channel Grove Marina on East Harbor has ethanol free fuel, plus they have Valvetec additive that supposedly "fixes" any ethanol that you have in your fuel.
