Looking for anyone who has made this upgrade on a flushmount setup. Wondering if the hole from the 188c is close enough to work without any big issues or is it too big for the 440s or even a 400c FF?
Has anyone done this and how did it go?
May have a 188c available with out card, if interested let me know.

OK,
No replies so I printed the mounting templates for both and cut one to overlay on the other. Thankfully it apears the 440 is a slightly bigger cutout than the 188c. I should be good with a few modifications to the current opening.
My new question is whether to use the Airmar P79 ducer that came with 440 or just hook up the transom mounted one currently on the boat? Any suggestions?

The specs on the two are very similar according to the AIRMAR cataloge.
I'd probably get going with the one on the transom you already have and plan/plot out the installation of the thru hull.
I have a transom mount on my 4208 and there are problems at certain speeds where I get a lot of bubbles in the water from props and when I beach the boat in shallow water. I'd much rahter have a thru hull but no way to install one on my Century 26 CCF.

Why not look at trying to shoot one thru the hull?
