Anyone have any feedback on the Navman GPS w/ fuel sensor? I am looking at adding a fuel monitor at a cost of approx. $250-$300. I saw a Navman GPS/chartplotter (grey scale) for around $300, and for an additional $75 can add a fuel monitor. Seems to be more bang for the buck, and I could use a new GPS w/WAAS. Are the Navman GPS units decent (I currently have an older model Garmin that is very dependable)? Whatcha think?

I currently have the 5600 with the fuel sensors. I have only had the unit for one year and so for it has worked great.

5500 with twin fuel sensors----very easy & dependable. Don't forget to add the price of a C-Map card.

A followup question....When operated through the GPS, does the Navman system calculate MPG? or just GPH? I would think that would be one advantage of having the fuel sensor tied into the GPS.
