We are proud to announce the First Annual Northeast Florida Kingfish Shootout presented by Yellowfin. We believe this format is the future of tournament fishing allowing fishermen to fish when they want and where they want. With this format, the small boats can compete with the big boats, fishing in places they never could in a traditional tournament format.

The first available fishing day will be Friday, June 10. Each boat may fish 4 days between June 10 and July 24, weighing 1 fish per day. The heaviest 3 fish aggregate will be declared the winner. Captains must declare a fishing day by 9pm the day before fishing via email. You may leave and return from any of the following inlets: Ponce Inlet, St. Augustine Inlet, Mayport, St. Mary's Inlet or the St. Simons Inlet. The boundaries are 28.000 to the south, which is around 10 miles south of Port Canaveral and 32.000 to the north, which is just north of the Savannah Inlet. You will be allowed to fish from safe light until dusk but must check in via cell phone inside the inlet of choice by 9pm on the declared fishing day. You may weigh your fish between 5 and 7pm on your fishing day or between 9 and 11am the following day at Strike Zone fishing in Jacksonville.

The Northeast Florida Wahoo Championship was fished under this format and was a tremendous success. 85 boats competed, making it the largest Wahoo tournament in the world. We think this is the format that the fishermen want allowing you to fish on your terms, where you want without having to run 100+ miles one way in less than perfect conditions.

Thanks to our title sponsor, Yellowfin Yachts, Strike Zone fishing, Yamaha, Charter Lakes Marine Insurance and others, we were able to act fast and have this tournament this year. Without them, we could not have pulled this off this fast. Thank you all for your continued support.

You may use a fishing day of an SKA sanctioned tournament for our tournament. The only weigh slip that will be accepted for the Northeast Florida Kingfish Shootout is an SKA weigh slip. No exceptions.

The payout is based on 150 paid entries and will go up or down based on participation.

He'd probably burn it in a very public place and then post the video all over www.yellowfingroupies.com for all the groupies to cry about.

I wish I could take the credit for "yellowfingroupies.com" but that was all silver bullet in a different thread somewhere on here. I'm waiting for the day though that I do click on that link and somebody has actually registered it and turned it into a real website.

6 "OFFICIAL" calcuttas? They're no fun...want the real deal, the "UNOFFICIAL" ones...

Amongst YF owners, could see some serious $$$...
