Did any body else see the article in this month's Boat US print magazine about wind turbine field's for power generation?

They mention a large proposed project in the Great Lakes area of concern to boater's there because of the possible effect on boating access to those waters.

A USCG source was quoted as saying each turbine would have a 1/2 mile radius security zone around it. There are > 100 turbines proposed in this project. The security zones could prevent access by recreational boaters.

I was reading that article today. It's hard to believe that there could be that much restriction and loss of access. There is a proposed plan to put 65 windmills on the Delaware Bay great idea for one of the major flyways on the east coast. ;? Can anyone say sliced duck? Then of course we get transmission towers strung across the salt marsh oh well I guess the Osprey's will love em.
