Hi!

Sorry if this has already been covered but I don't think it has been..

I want to surprise my boyfriend with a 5 day trip to Duluth over the summer.. He loves boating and I definitely want to spoil him. I have very basic knowledge about boats and the services offered in Duluth (although I've google searched.. It doesn't really give personal reviews)..

I was curious if you had any recommendations as far as fun outdoorsy activities to do in Duluth (outside of the normal, take a walk, window shop, etcetera.. stuff that's unique to the area)? AND if I were to rent a boat, what stuff should I look for or be aware of? Like I said, I have an extremely basic knowledge of boating (my boyfriend is pretty advanced but I want to surprise him) and any help would be appreciated!

Thanks so much!

There are couple places up the North Shore that take day trips on sail boats. Plenty of charter fishing boats avliable on Superior. You can kayak in the Apostle Islands. Are you looking to rent a boat on a inland lake or Lake Superior? ( I saw some cabin cruisers for rent on Superior last summer). Canal Park is always a fun place to visit.
