What great service these guys provide! I called them early last week to see if they could make a trailer for my 1986 Whaler Montauk. Jeff said they would get right on it, no deposit or anything, he just said come and get it, it will be ready at the end of the week.

I said that I wouldn't be able to pick it up during the week, to which he replied, no problem I will open the shop up on whatever day you need. So on Sunday I met Jeff and a couple others up at the shop to swap money and pick up my new trailer.

All of this while being less expensive compared to an "off the shelf" trailer...

There has been some really good posts about the Owens gang. I called to inquire about a trailer for our WorldCat we have for sale. I found used ones for $4k, and was expecting a stiff price. They have the templates for our hull and with brakes and a spare would build one for $5500. Impressed me!

There service after the sale is Topnotch also! I shopped all around and went with them even though 2 more well known trailer companies are a half hour away from me.
Here's a pick of mine.

I just picked mine up today for the Leisure Cat.

Great guys to deal with, and believe me I kind of pestered them with lots of questions.
They made it really easy even with my logistical issues.
(I'm in Pa and the boat is in SW Fl.)

LED lights and electric over hydraulic disc brakes.
I cant wait to get the boat on it tomorrow.

Here's a pic, and I'll get one up with the boat on it soon.....

How much are you guys paying for the dual axle trailers? Thinking about replacing mine.

I have my 24 Grady on one. Imported it from Florida to NY. Super functional and the best looking trailer in the lot!

Mine was just over $4700.
7000 GVW tandem axle.
I added Electric/Hydraulic disc brakes, a spare tire and LED lights.

It's for a 26 ft cat hull, I'm not sure how much that adds to the cost if anything.

I only got one other price that was close, and it was for a galvanized steel trailer, but I needed to go aluminum because of the weight savings. Aluminum for my setup was around 500 lbs lighter.

Other quotes I got were between $5000 and $7000 plus.

Very knowledgeable, great service, great trailers. They met me at the shop on a Saturday evening as that was the only time I could get there coming from NC. I have sent several guys there and they have been happy as well.

Another Thumbs up from me. Built my trailer in three days from a template they had on file. Fit like a glove.

Thanks. I have a 25' CC. I may upgrade my tailer to a 8500lb. My current trailer is rated for 7K but the boat (full of fuel and water) and trailer weigh 7700lbs which is why I'm looking to upgrade. Owens and Sons makes great trailers. It's a no-brainer to go with them.

My last three have been from them. Very good to deal with. Great product and competitive price.

Got my boat on the trailer this afternoon, it fit like a glove.

I had to tow about 8 or 10 miles to the shop that's going to be doing my transom & motor work, and it rode great.

Didn't get out on the interstate, but was going 50-55 at times and it was nice & stable.
Highway shouldn't be a problem.

Pictures later.

i should add that I tow anywhere from 4-7k miles/year with my trailers, so it's not a simple around the corner trip to the ramp. I cover as much as 500 miles towing some days and have had no problems with the trailers at all.

Now the tires, that's a different story....

I just wish I didn't have to wait 2 months to bring her up north.....
Where's that global warming when you need it?

I didn't realize just how big that barge is until I got it behind my truck.

The Admiral doesn't know it's not gonna fit up my driveway yet.....

My last boat was a 15ft bowrider.....this one feels like an aircraft carrier!

I'm already getting envious compliments on the trailer, and I don't even have it home yet.

They built me a trailer in 1990 for a 20 Mako I had just purchased. I called them and told them when I would need it and they had it ready. Took the trailer to the boat ramp and drove the boat on and used it for 3 years until I sold the boat. Not one problem. Fit, finish and set up were right on.
