Dont hate on me and tell me about the bad mileage!

I am looking for a crew or extended cab F250 V10 with 4WD. Would prefer older than 2004 but open to other options if not a work truck. Need something to pull a 10,500lb Regulator. I am selling my 2005 GMC 1500 SLT Crew cab Z71 which has 77K miles on it. I am the original owner with title in hand.

in 2005 they made some changes increasing the engine performance (i think went from 2 to 3 valve), for that reason i wouldnt look for anything older than 2005.
love my 2005, towes my 10000lb boat easily. If i trailered more often i would go diesel, but the truck is rarely driven and i only trailer maybe 10 times a year tops.

they made the 3 valve in 2000 the 99 went from 310hp to 365hp i forget the torque and the tow capacity is a diff. of about 1000 lbs I have a 99 f250 4x4 v10 lariat extented cab Im rebuilding the engine right now waiting on the block and heads to get back from the machine shop and the intake back from the coating shop to have the inside sprayed with teflon my truck was used for surfing in north carolina during the hurricane season (and has a surfboard rack on top if you surf) on the flooded access roads its not rusted out real clean and overall great truck the tow package is 4.30 ring and pinion so itll pull anything like a turbo diesel would the truck has 160,000 mi which is why im rebuilding the engine if your intrested I wanna sell it after I rebuild it plan on going back to college now after the marine corps and dont wanna pay for gas like I used to the truck is in south texas if your intrested you can email me at I havent thought of a price yet I know the asking price from a dealer is about 10,000 for my truck

From what I understand, the 2008-2010 model years of the F250 are really difficult to work on requiring the removal of the cab for almost all repairs making them very costly. They apparently improved a lot of that with the 2011s. Just something to be aware of in your decision making process.

I just sold a 2008 V10 4WD Lariat crew cab. That motor produces 365 hp and 457 ft lbs of torque. Mine had a 4.10 rear and pulled almost as well as the diesels. Is a great motor. I sold mine to my brother and though it had 150,000 miles it still doesnt burn any oil between 5,000 mile oil changes. I towed my 10,000 boat/trailer ~30,000 miles with that truck and it pulled in the hills of Pennsylvania without any trouble. Got about 11-11.5 mpg unloaded and 8-8.5 mpg pulling the boat. You will love that truck.

Just some gas facts from my 2 trucks...

05' F350 Dually Crew 4:10's
18mpg empty
12.5mpg 16' enclosed motorcycle trailer
10mpg 28' boat

05' Expedition 3.73 Tow Package
18mpg empty
9.5mpg 16' trailer
doesn't tow my boat safely.

Just drove to Florida from Maine to pickup a new enclosed 18' trailer. Chose the Expedition as the fuel savings didn't out way the additional diesel price.
