Team Monster Energy is an SKA fishing team so they dont need rod holders just need to go fast. Most winners catch there winning fish befor they get the 2nd rod in and then drink beer all day. Just ask the team that showed up at the 2006 great jax tourney early and party all day till weight in telling everyone they had a 70lb fish. When they finally pulled it out of the fish bag to show everyone they found out it was a wahoo not a king

the floor layout of the boat was actually pretty nice...two issues...
1. the gun wales are literally like 2 feet wide
2. there is like 4-5 feet from the livewell to the engines

other then that, i should see a bunch of these running aground around elliot key....

I am no fan of the Go-Fasts. I did stop and speak to the Monster team.. Nice guys out of Canaveral. This is their first year as Monster & Deep Impact Team BTW. This is Hull # one of the new cap, and it is all fishing. This is a Show boat, and not the competition hull that is almost completed.. They were just showing off the cap and their wrap. Tourney boat will have V300's too.

They did a decent retro on this hull from where they started. The console is not slanted, but is a wrap around style with these carbon fiber panels in front of the instruments.. The new owner of Deep Impact is said to have beefed up the stringer grid and reinforced the structures to take on the Tourney circuits..
We'll see. I agree on the wrap: That many greens in a pattern should be huntin camo.
I wonder if they pour that Monster juice in the livewells to supercharge their livebaits ? LOL

Probably spring loaded like the old racing style/for a race boat not a fishing boat :)They are high dollar and suppose to be the sports look but a PITB to dock with a cross wind and your having to shift like lightning while keeping your nose off the pier.

Like the dash all but the shifters. 80%
Like the flooring..........90%
Wish they had made the back end all the way across by the bait tank. 30%

That I'll give them credit for. With as few fish as we can show back at the landing when checked, there is a certain Fountain thats having its own make over also.
Going to be putting new meaning to the words "Sea Food" on a lot of our boats if things don't slow on this save the fish issue and its not such a bad idea. Makes a nice addition to a already great trip. Just smile when others ask where do you go to enjoy your sea food.

Thanks for the offer but I had to give up coffee and kool aid, they were effecting my way of thinking properly.

Not sure if most of you notice but DI comes on this site twice every year for some free advertising. One of their newbies will chime in during the MIA boat show and then another will get a new screen name right around the May sprint race about how they are going to smoke anyone who shows up. Just saying!;?

Native2FL

I am not offended by the little intro.. It was tasteful. I found it interesting to look at all the trip engine 35+ boats and speak to the owners/reps. My fishin buddy is having a different brand built. Setting up a new boat is more important than just drinking the Kool-Aide and entrusting them.. Dealing with six livewell pumps, five AGM batteries and setting up the console for electronics correctly, the first time.. is tricky.. Then, do you document the vessel as a single-asset LLC, or register privately and overinsure for liability? These guys, like everybody else at the Show.. were most helpful..

I am not flush enough for one of these rockets, so I kinda live vicariously through those who do own and fish them. I will have the great opportunity to fish this new boat over in Chub Cay, Spanish Wells and perhaps even San Salvador. Do I care if it is as hard core as a YF, or as fast as a Midnight, or as ritzy as an Intrepid.. No ! But It is a bullet-proof CC to fish the Central Bahamas.

That trash talker about the Slam Race was so re-tahded that he could not be part of the Factory Team.. Just the teenage son of a D/I owner.. You know the type..

Anybody who is keeping people working these days gets my nod.. I hope they do well.

Greetings from the Miami Boat Show. Those of you unable to attend are missing a great show... Not just our boats, but there are plenty of new things from many builders.

I'd like to clarify a few things about our new 36 TE...
The boat at the show is boat #1, our prototype/R&D boat. We could have waited until more testing was done before bringing the boat public, however we felt it was best to bring our new boat out, regardless of it's state of completion. The show boat is not even rigged yet... The intention is to let everyone see that we mean business, and have spent time and money to make our boat more fishable. We have received many valuable comments and suggestions while at the show...which is great feedback for us.
This new boat is a serious fishing machine.
The boat is not done... I have a list of many things that will be added and/or changed in the near future.
Every boat we build is custom, and laid out for the client. We will build you boat with no rod holders if you like.... or go to the extreme....
Our relationship with Jason and the Monster Fishing Team will bring great things for all involved. We're with them, as are many other manufactures of key components.
The boat show boat is not their boat. We wanted this boat to get wrapped to increase the exposure for the team. Yes, the wrap didn't turn out well. It was installed wednesday at the booth.... it'll be redone before this boat appears at any other events.

Our doors are always open at the factory... Come by and take a look. This is the NEW Deep Impact. Many things have changed.

See you on the water.

I think the inside of the boat from the pictures actually doesnt look to bad at all. Tournament guys dont run hard tops, they break them. I would also rather have a livewell in the seat rather than a cooler (you can never have enough livebait) A coffin box for me is a must so, I would rather the two floor hatches up front were switched around making the longer hatch the aft one to accomidate a coffin box because its to far forward at the moment. I still dont like the line on the outside of the boat the way it curves down. Do you offer a side door console with a built in cooler seat? How much Boat/motor/trailer w/out elcetronics?

24-7,
I believe this hard top will hold up. However, I don't mind doing a canvas top if the buyer prefers...
The helm seat has a small livewell above the cooler. It is very easy to omit the cooler and let the livewell extend down the entire height of the helm seat....

We are working on the coffin box design. The small hatch being back was to give more space between the coffin and the front of the console. This console has a forward lift up door. We didn't want that area to be cluttered. There is no problem getting the coffin box in the boat.

The drop in the hull and deck creates a unique look... Some like it, some don't. The intention is that the boats are unique.

The console has the opening at the front. I could finish it
solid and do a side entry door... However the side of the console has a lot of style to it, and simply opening a hole and using a bifold type door would really kill the look..

We are offering the boat at a base of $199k with twin 300s. A nice triple 300 boat with decent electronics will come in around the $240k area.(obviously depending on options and features selected).

Please keep the comments coming. We like to know what the buyers want to see.

Thanks,
Tim

When was DI sold again?

Tim yes we are happy you paid to promote your product. In the grad scheme of things (240K per boat) 50 bucks is chump change for the input from potential buyers. should have bought the wheel and not been smart about it.

DI has come on here for years and talked smack, started drama, and been banned numerous times, just sayin. glad your here with a more professional tone.

tim- the Boat, how are you reinventing the wheel in the fishing platform? let's see some Pics please. SMALL LIVEWELL- how small? Sounds like an eventual trash can or cooler. Rod Holders....You should have overigged this boat to not be playing catch up after the biggest media and "tire kicker" exposure event of the year, BAD MOVE. that boat should have made fisherman go "holy chit", not "where's the rod holders? live wells? the cooler is a waste, teams use bean bags for seats, deck insulated boxes for coolers, and want two big live wells if they can. The whole station is not a good use of space and weight, get ride of it.

THE Head- I see a HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS. Here is an example of putting stuff for your sandbar clients in you "fishing"platform. Finish the inside of the console for storage and gear. find an innovated way for me to access my stuff easily and you will get my attention. I piss in the water, crap in the water, shower with the fresh water pump or swim in, yup you guessed it THE OCEAN!

nice job on the wheel tho! I was going to call you out on that too!

Sorry to have been away from the forum for awhile guys...
Thanks for the comments.

The boat that you see is the Prototype.
We are now nearing completion on the "Production" model.
We changed the transom area to allow for two livewells, with the transom door to port.

The helm station has been change to have a LARGER livewell and no sink.

The T Top frame has been completely redesigned for strength and function.

The Entire dash face of the console has been redesigned. The GPS' have moved closer to the operator, and the throttles back as well. There is a style line around the perimeter for more style now.

I'll get some pics of the changes up as soon as the boat is completed (roughly 2 weeks).
The prototype will come back from the Monster Fishing Team, and they will take the first production boat. (I do have a buyer for the prototype boat)

The head is a catch 22. Personally, I don't think a boat needs a head system unless it is 50+'. But, I'll never be able to sell a boat that doesn't have a head.... That said, I am more than happy to build a boat for someone without the head system and redesign the head area for specific storage...

Construction- We use Corezyn Vinylester resin and foam coring. There is NO WOOD in our boats.
We changed the production to utilize fiberglass and core Kits. These are engineered CNC cut fiberglass kits that give our people pre cut glass and core that fits inside the mold correctly. There are fewer overlaps and nearly no trimming. This increases consistency, builds a bit quicker, increases strength, and most importantly...reduces chance for human error. These boats are VERY strong. (Stringers and transoms are CNC cut foam as well)
All lamination is done by hand. No chopper guns here...

The pics of the console show the raised "bullnose" style line added to the console around the panel area...

The helm station received recesses for the tackle centers and a much larger livewell with double lid.

Do you guys do a version with a full windshield?

We can certainly use eisenglass or strataglass for a full wrap enclosure.
We have just redesigned the t top frame. Once the first one is installed, I can look at changing the windshield for Full Protection...

Nearly everything is an option, even if we do not currently have it in production... :)

Looks good Tim. Thanks for posting and as far as Monster getting a fishing team... whatever. More exposure and more sponsors is good for the sport and the purse sizes.

Half to haters on here can't afford the props for the boat let alone a new DI. Don't let them get you down.

Looking forward to some more pictures when you get time.

These large center consoles are incredible. Just curious the entrance to the head if those gas struts fail like the ones on my rear hatch it must be a motha to lift get out of that cubby hole. I looked at a contender with a forward kill box and the linear actuator failed and the box was frozen to the deck. Just curious any fail safe measures to get out of the head if the actuators fail or struts fail other then flushing yourself down the toilet?;?

Our 36 TE uses gas springs to assist with the head "lid". Yes, over time they get tired and need to be replaced, but will not lock you in.
We use electric actuators on some of our boats. The type that we use only lift, not pull... Which allows you to manually lift the hatch if needed.

Another console picture...
We can rig the boat as a center steer if preferred.

I like the looks of the inside of the console. The clear door access for the switches is a great idea!

The battery switches run off remote toggle switches on the console... There is actually no need to manually turn the switches.... Pretty cool system.
The yellow switches are automatic VSR parallels.

Tim is the new guy down there now and hes doing an awesome job with not only the rigging but new ideas and designs for lay out etc. DI is definately a company that you go to when good enough just isnt.

Well said. I knew the guy that had the idea for DI and opened the company(not sure if he is in the picture still) and he had the exact same mentality.

Forgive me for not saying earlier but the interior of your console is the best I have ever seen. Very well thought out. I looked at a 36 contender with a friend who was going to buy it probably early 2000 boat and all the connections were corroded inside the console from the seal failing around the door and never getting fixed. The dipcit salesman told us they all did this. Besides it would turn my stomach to think someone in there could accidently put their hand :wet: on terminals and either get the shock of there life or short out one of the components. Thumbs up guys very nice rig.
