Was on the 34 Friday and did not like the layout of the foward seating at all. Looked odd and hard to fish around.

Nope, Only if I bought the Jupiter 34' would I get F.S. :) Since the 340B seats 2 at the helm, 2 on the forward console seat and I have the aft seating option that's another 2, plus my bean-bag, I don't take people on boat rides and other than immediate family I have no friends [other than Buenchkin, my killer adopted, ex-homeless black female terrier] so For me I don't need it.

Good move. The "new" 34 was one of my favorite boats there and is the clubhouse leader for "next" boat. The FS was pretty slick, but not for me. The central portion is retracable, but you lose a good 2 ft of bow space. There is no way to reach the forward cleat or anchor locker w/o jumping on the cushions.
New console and seating - home run.
S-H - FWIW, I would ge the sliding cooler rack (I think you said previously that you weren't). Seams like the cooler would be hard to acess w/o it.

I'm putting my 2 big Plano tackle boxes under the seat, I ordered the Captain's seating so it's glass all the way around not the metal legs. My Igloo will work for me.

I talked to a few Jupiter folks at the show, A- I would take the 34 seavee over the 34 Jupiter if I really liked to fish. However, Jupiters new 38 cuddy, I like. Cant tell you how many times I have store stuff in a hotel. That I could stick up and lock in a small cuddy. I know all boats including mine have "lockable storage" but its not the same.
The rods never fit, whether it's a bent but or electric, or something else. I liked the 38, but then again I should stake that up against the 39 seavee. :roll

Did you check out the Jupiter 26? I was actually fairly impressed. It looked bigger than I thought it would. Of their newer Euro transom boats, I think that the 29 looks very nice, especially now that you can get it with a flat deck and coffin box instead of just the FS layout. The old 31 still looks pretty nice.

I did look at the 26' Jupiter but felt it was way too small with hardly any in deck storage, but otherwise a nice boat.

Small yes, but my point was that it looked "bigger"than I expected for a boat that is normally powered with twin 150's. With that said, not a hard car fishing competitor for say the Contender 23T as long as they only build the Jupiter in that "family friendly" FS configuration. From what I have seen on line, the old 27 had a goodly amount of boxes in the floor in its normal setup and not a lot in the few FS models they built at the end of the run..
