I am considering a 1969 wood plank boat that has been refastened etc is the maint. On something like this horrible what can I expect I have no experience with a boat like this

It is a 1969 chris craft 40' I can't seam to get it to load the boat was completely gone through repowerd tn 2009 new tanks interior fuel tanks re wired new electronics refastened
It appears to be completely restored sterling paint.

I would start with something smaller. You can work on your sanding and varnishing of the bright work skills.

Sounds like the PO has done the heavy lifting.........still your looking at substantial maintanance, insurance, dockage (many marinas shun old wood vessels) and haul out fees (check your local yards) due to her age and construction.

On the other hand if you have unlimited funds and desire a classic wooden vessel then by all means persue the purchase with your eyes wide open (and an experienced Surveyor).

Boating is a pricy endevoure, wood classics X 10+++ also remember there is a fair chance you will be the last owner (buyers for 40 yo woodies are few and far between).
